Setting up

Today I am attempting to set up my blog. The weather outside is frightful and I'm not going anywhere. Seems like the perfect time to try out my first attempt at blogging. The east coast is experiencing an old fashion Nor'easter. It is our first measurable snow this winter...but not to worry, this is New England and by Friday they are telling us it is going to be in the mid 40's.

I don't have to do any baking as there are plenty of cookies left from Christmas, along with a variety of sweets. That will leave more time for sewing as I have not sewed for 2 days and anyone who knows me.....knows I am likely to have withdrawals if I don't spend some time at the sewing machine. I'm behind in my quilt squares of the month for my mystery quilt and there are always UFO's to finish.

Speaking of Christmas,
we had a great day. The kids were all over and my mother and brother. We have a great dinner and then opened presents. After presents we returned to the table for cookies and cheesecake. After that we were all pretty full and just sat around to visit. Before we knew it, it was dark and "Gram" wanted to go home.

The kids and I played "Press your Luck" and the "Price is Right" on the Wii. Shortly after, Anthony left and soon behind him Johanna and Kyle. That left Nicole, Paul and me. Nicole decided to stay one more night before going back to Medford. Paul got a KINDLE for Christmas, so he was busy with that, while Nicole and I broke out the Wii Fitness Plus and played until 11pm. I'm sure this Wii will whip me into shape, and I'll have fun doing it!
